Volume 1: December 1999

This was the first official Answering Machine Message CD and contained over 2 years of my family and friends’ responses to my voice mail. It was distributed as a Christmas Gift at the end of 1999. This was also probably the raciest album of the bunch. This album included the first Mix to the song; “Only Seventeen” which was the starting point for many mixes yet to come.

The Music

Only Seventeen – This was a song that appeared on Tony Bank’s Strictly Inc solo album. The song I used was a remix of the original song. This was the first test to see if mixing of my friend’s voice mail clips would work in a song. It turned out pretty successful and was the foundation of the songs that followed.
