ASIA rises!
The original line-up returns and makes what probably should originally been their second album instead of that crap that we got called Alpha. And you can tell that they had a lot of creative writing they wanted to get off their enlarged chests (Mostly Downs and Whetton, Howe and Palmer have always been relatively thin).
Minus the second track every song on this album is catchy, well produced and will bring back many memories of your time in the 80′s. All of these songs are well done, including the opening track ‘Never Again’ which would be a sure fire hit if released with a decent promotion behind it. The album even starts off like the first ASIA with mystero Steve Howe giving us some catchy guitar licks. From that point on, the album just soars. John Whetton not only still has his rich powerful voice, he sounds exactly like he did 20 years ago! Carl Palmer provides some amazing drumming and Geoffy Downs is master of the synthensizer. The album sounds like what it should be, a rocking 80′s band with modern equipment producing a pleasing experience from the beginning to the end with music that is catchy, atmospheric and just sounding a lot like ASIA’s first album, only better.
