Sad Way to start a New Year

I sometimes have to wonder if the world is made up of crazy people. I get a bit purturbed to see people taking joy in another man’s death. No matter now evil that man may haveĀ been. The irony of the same people who claim killing a fetus is murder, while wanting a stranger with darker skin to die still illudes me.

The world can be a very scary place.

And here we turn the new year, many people still confused, still fighting, fighting over facts obvious or not so obvious, peopleĀ still killing people, either life is precious or it’s not, and if it’s not then why are we racing to always stay alive as long as we can?

Can the human race ever reach a point where death is not a neccessity? Or is death nothing more than a transition? And if so, then does this all really matter in the end?

One could point out the whole reason for existance could be mute if we did not fear death at all.

These are the thoughts that go through my head with the execution of Saddam. A leader, who’s country we took over for no good reason, sent to death by a fake government. Instead of realizing how BAD this is for us, people are celebrating… and even though he may have been the next Hilter, killing is something that we should try to avoid at all costs. Even killing evil people. Because doesn’t that make us evil as well, lowering us to their standards?

But I guess that may be too much to ask from the USA, I am sometimes ashamed to live in this country.

What would it take for Americans to wise up and realize they’ve been lazy too long? An invansion from China? Nuclear War? Some day American just may be knocked down off it’s thorny pedistal, and the day that happens everyone is going to get a big wake up call.

I hope that this New Year, something happens. My hope for this New Year, peace from logic, no war from people’s misinterpertations. Love for every man, not just your fellow man, and understanding through reason.
